How fun can a district become? For years I walk with fascination through the Bijlmermeer, photographing the architecture and the people. Once this was an impoverished and unsafe district, now it has become one of the most vivid of the Netherlands, dynamic of the culture and street-life. The architecture is phenomenal in the ‘new’ Bijlmer. A great example of what urban-renewal can establish.
